Innovative Big Data Application
Optimizes Lead Conversations,
build on the Google Cloud Platform
Innovative Big Data Application Optimizes Lead Conversions, built on the Google Cloud Platform.
In the era of Big Data, many enterprise executives are struggling with the sheer volume of available data and how to transform all that information into intelligence they can use to make the best business decisions. Typically, they try to determine exactly what data is available and then apply it to a specific question or problem. Unfortunately, this is an ineffective strategy, returning only fifty cents on every dollar the enterprise invests in traditional Big Data solutions.
To help enterprises achieve the maximum benefits from their Big Data, Third Eye Consulting Services developed for AbsolutData a whole new approach to Big Data analytics. Using AbsolutData’s “Decision Engineering” model, along with the power and flexibility of the Google Cloud platform, Third Eye
Consulting developed the NAVIK Converter application which allows enterprises to increase their lead-toconversion rate and enhance their return on investment in Big Data.
The underlying concept of AbsolutData’s decision-engineering approach is to first identify specific decisions the enterprise must make and then work backward, using data and analytics to optimize every aspect of the project. For example, applying decision engineering to lead conversion enables enterprise executives to use data and analytics not only to identify consumers but also to optimize, in real time, the channels, marketing messages and even product features that influence these consumers’ purchasing decisions.
“Decision Engineering ensures that decisions are continually improved through data and analytics,” said Anil Kaul, CEO, AbsolutData . “In particular, Decision Engineering ensures that the decision makers are provided potential decision options rather than just insights. This way of delivering analytics is a major change from how analytics is delivered currently.”
To drive the decision-engineering model, Third Eye Consulting and AbsolutData needed to identify the appropriate conversion-optimization platform, specifically one that would help Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) companies convert free users into paid subscribers. The platform had to be capable of using analytical algorithms, developed as dovetailed MapReduce programs, which allow enterprise users to leverage insights from various decision metrics to make business decisions. In addition, the platform had to feature a reliable infrastructure that provided enough compute power to manage the various MapReduce computations while also scaling easily to meet fluctuating business demand.
Third Eye Consulting selected for AbsolutData the Google Cloud Platform, with its Google Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Datastore, and Cloud Dataflow capabilities, as the ideal infrastructure to support the demands of the NAVIK Converter.
“Google Cloud Platform provided the NAVIK Converter with several advantages over competing cloud platforms,” said Dj Das, Founder & CEO, Third Eye Consulting Services. The most notable advantages identified by Third Eye for AbsolutData, he said, are:
- Google Cloud Platform nodes offer the best computational performance.
- When it comes to satisfying business case demands, Google Cloud Platform has the fastest cluster spin-up and spin-down times.
- To move gigabytes of data around quickly for MapReduce computations, Google Cloud Platform
offers significantly more network bandwidth than its competitors can provide.
- Google Cloud Platform satisfies the NAVIK Converter’s demand for reliability.
Before launching the NAVIK Converter, AbsolutData tested the application with two SaaS providers. The NAVIK Converter enabled HighTail, a cloud storage company to increase by 30 % its free-to-paid conversion rate while making it possible for an online genealogy company to increase by 5% its billthrough rate on free trial signups by 5%.
“Thanks to the Google Cloud Platform, we were able to launch AbsolutData ‘s fully-functional NAVIK Converter solution at a very low per-month cost,” Das said, “and because the application is 100% cloudbased, AbsolutData’s time-to-market was dramatically low. With its ability to deploy multiple clients on the current cluster instances, AbsolutData can ensure rapid industry adoption of this innovative solution.”
